Timber used for the windows and doors
Timber windows and doors are produced from a high-quality laminated timber. Our company is the first one among other Lithuania timber window manufacturing companies who has received an international FSC® certificate. FSC certification guarantees that the timber was purchased from well-managed forests. It combines environmental protection, social welfare, environment and long-term economic benefits! We use finger jointed or fixed timber. The first one is a woodworking joint made by cutting a set of complementary rectangular cuts in two pieces of timber, which are then glued, whereas fixed timber is well-known for having no branches or cracks, so is always carefully selected among other timber. If you intend to finish a window with a light shade stains, we will recommend you to choose fixed timber rather than finger jointed.
Timber used in producing timber windows and doors are as follows:
- Pine FSC Mix (finger jointed or fixed);
- Oak FSC Mix;
- Larch;
- Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus);
- Meranti
- Mahogany;
- Accoya FSC Mix 70%.
Accoya wood has exceptional features, which molecular structure is modified (timber pores are filled with acetic acid). After this, timber does not absorb water, so maintains dimensional stability and surpasses even hardwood. A producer provides warranty for accoya up to 50 year.
