Timber window finishes
Durability of the timber window mainly depends on its protection, finish and maintenance.
We do co-operate with “Remmers”, one of the leading company of finish materials for the timber windows, so we can offer a high quality timber protection and finishing. All the materials are water-based, so it is completely harmless to environment and health; ecological; do not crack and perfectly adhere with the window surface.
There is used a four-layer finishing system, which helps to avoid the small air bubbles on the surface. The timber is covered with a protective plastic film against ultraviolet rays which are able to destroy lignin.
The finishing steps are as follows:
1) Machine grinding. We use “Loewer" equipment and tools in order to gain a perfect timber surfaces before finishing;
2) Impregnation. Impregnation prevents from bluish, mold and provides a solid basis for further processing. Used impregnator has good antiseptic properties and is particularly effective against timber pests;
3) Primary grinding is used with vibration grinding machines;
4) Prime coating is used with a water-based primer. Later the frames are soaked in baths;
5) Acril apply on timber corner joints and cleaning;
6) Applying an intermediate finishing layer (paint or stain);
7) The second manual grinding to roughen timber frames before a final finishing;
8) Applying the second layer of finishing: painting or staining (coating the timber windows and doors of 100 microns thick dry finishing film from the outside and 80 microns film from the inside).
